Congrats Pantek! Looking forward to working with the new management. Staying on as CTO.
Four local entrepreneurs — Michael Fischer, Tony Pietrocola, Michael DeAloia and John Farrall — have acquired Pantek Inc., an information technology services company in Independence.
The new owners have set aside additional money to invest in the business and acquire other companies that could mesh with Pantek’s cloud hosting business, according to Fischer.
Fischer now is CEO and majority owner of Pantek, which provides hosting and support for companies that use Linux and other open source technologies. He replaces Barry Zack, who wanted to transition out of the business. Zack, 62, will serve as interim chief operating officer for three months.
The rest of the company’s eight employees will remain on board, including Zack’s son, Richard, who founded Pantek as a teenager in 1994.
